Lower LATCH anchors are split across the rows — the map below shows exactly which seats have lower anchors, which are top-tether only, and which have no hardware at all.
Lower anchors up to 65 lb combined
Use the lower anchors until the child plus the car seat weighs 65 lb, then switch to the seat belt with the top tether.

ALL-NEW GENERATION (LQ2; manual build title 'LQ2a_ICE_US_27MY') — do NOT carry the MY2025 (ON) record forward. The layout genuinely CHANGED: the old gen had third-row lower LATCH at the LEFT seat only and no third-row-right tether; the 2027 third row has lower anchors at BOTH outboard seats and THREE top tethers (manual the figure shows three marked tether anchors across the third-row seatback; Cars.com's physical test of a 2027 X-Pro SX-Prestige confirms 'two sets of lower anchors and three top tether anchors' in the third row).
The 2027 manual's lower-anchor prose is generic ('left and right outboard rear seating positions', no per-row enumeration — unlike the 2025 book) and the anchor-location illustration (OLQ2A065037) renders without legible anchor marks; the per-row lower-anchor split (2nd L/R + 3rd L/R) therefore rests on the Cars.com physical car-seat check and is labeled institutional. IIHS has not yet rated the 2027 Telluride (ratings as of 2026-08-10).
Center positions: 'There are no LATCH anchors provided for the center rear seating position' and 'Never attempt to attach a LATCH-equipped seat in the center seating position' = borrowing prohibited at both the 2nd-row bench center (8-passenger) and the 3rd-row center.
Second-row center (8-passenger bench) tether: the manual's own tether figure for the 8-passenger 2nd row (OLQ2AH066019) marks only TWO tether anchors, at the outboard positions — no center tether shown, recorded false on that figure. 7-passenger builds have captain's chairs and no second-row center seat (the figure: two tether anchors).
Combined lower-anchor weight limit: child + restraint must be under 65 lb (30 kg), and the manual gives the guide calculation 'CRS Weight = 65 - (child's total weight in lb)'.
Common questions
Does the 2027 Kia Telluride have LATCH anchors in the third row?
Lower LATCH anchors in the third row are at the left and right positions, according to an IIHS listing rather than the manual. The center seat may not borrow the outboard anchors — the manual prohibits it, so install there with the seat belt and the top tether. Top tether anchors are at all three positions.
Where are the lower LATCH anchors in the 2027 Kia Telluride?
Lower anchors are at: second row left; second row right; third row left; third row right. Positions without lower anchors take a car seat via the seat belt (with the top tether where available).
Can I install a car seat in the middle (center) seat of the 2027 Kia Telluride?
Not with LATCH. The manual prohibits using the outboard anchors for the second-row center seat — install there with the seat belt.
Is there a weight limit for the LATCH lower anchors in the 2027 Kia Telluride?
Yes. Use the lower anchors until the combined weight of the child plus the car seat reaches 65 lb. Above that, switch to the seat belt with the top tether.
